Resolution, Resolution designated as No. 116, pro- viding for the issuance of bonds to the State of Minnesota for the pur- pose of construction of a bridge across the Mississippi river, connecting the end of Bemidji avenue with the Nymore paved road, was read and declared passed and carried on the following Aye and Nay vote: Ayes—Lahr, Bag- ley, Backus, Smart, Moberg, Phillippi, Hazen, Larson and Clark. Absent— Smith and Joanis. Miscellaneous. Motion was made by Alderman Smart, seconded by Alderman Hazen, that the salary of the judge of municipal court be placed on the basis of $1,500 per year. Motion was amended by Alder- man Lahr, seconded by Alderman Backus, to read on the basis of $1,300 per year. Motion as amended was then put and declared passed and carried, all aldermen present voting Aye. On motion and second Mr. Wm. Blood was directed _to take care of any city property at Diamond Point. The bridge committee was instructed to report on the matter of placing a “Mississippi River” sign on the new bridge. Moved by Alderman Smart, seconded by Alderman Backus, the street help under street commissioner be paid on the basis of $2.75 per day for next thirty days. Carried. Bond of Goodman & Loitved in sum of $3.000 for paving construction with K. Mclver and J. Dalton as sureties ‘was approved. Application of C. S. Dailey, manager Bemidji Enmployment Office, to- conduct a male employment office was granted on motion and second. Bond in \the sum of $2,000 to be furnished.
