Engineer's report of paving repairs was read. Moved by Alderman Smart, seconded by Alderman Larson, that the engineer be instructed to purchase Tarvia X to the amount of $100 for the repair of pavement. . Moved by Alderman Smart, seconded by Alderman Hazen, that the profile of the new bridge be accepted and placed on file. Carried. Carried. Mr. Cochran appeared in behalf of the road leading out of city toward Birchmont. Moved by Alderman Smart. seconded by Alderman Joanis. that the street commission be instructed to grub out the stumps and roots and fill up the holes. Carried. The city attorney has not received any reply from the Great Northern Railway in regard to the crossing west of town. Alderman Bagley, of the water and light committee, reported on lights to Moberg’s residence, street not laid out, would take four lights, and the electric company would not set poles until street is laid out. Moved by Alderman Smart, seconded by Alderman Larson, that the matter be laid on the table until a future meeting. Carried. Moved by Alderman Smart, seconded by Alderman Phillippi, that street com- missioner be given two weeks more to report on Nymore road. Carried. Moved by Alderman Bagley, second- ed by Alderman_ Hazen, that a contract be made with Mr. Jinkenson to flush the fill at $5 per day, under the direc- tions of the city engineer. Motion lost.
