Ball, who haa been the guest of his sister, Mrs. Martin Ho- gan of the town of Grant Valley, for the past month, returned to his home in Reynolds, N. D., today. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Shepardson of Minneapolis, who have been the guests of their daughter, Mrs. Lester P. Warford, and family for several days, returned to their home yester- day. Mrs. Warford’s brother, Harry Shepardson, Jr., who accompanied them to the city, will remain for a longer visit. The Crookston Daily Times says: “Miss Gladys Newland left this morn- ing for her home at Superior, Wis., after a several weeks’ visit in the city, the guest of Miss Luverne Car- lisle. Enroute, Miss Newland will spend a day at Bemidji the guest of Mrs. E. R. Evans, formerly of Crook- ston.” The funeral of Mrs. Mathilda Gaab who died Monday at a local hospital was held this afternoon at the home of the deceased at 2 o’clock and also at the German Lutheran church at 2:30. Rev. Schimpfky conducted the service both at the house and the church. The remains were interred in Oakdale cemtery. The following were the pallbearers: William Heid- rick, Chris Hartman, Jacob Wieden- hoefer, Herman Schmunk Charles Wigant and Eugene Buehl.—Crook- ston Daily Times, Aug. 1. Mr. and Mrs. Hayett live on a ranch 40 miles from Glasgow. Mr. Bush spent the past ten days there and Mrs. Bush and children have been there for the past seven weeks. Mrs. H. L. THEATERS AT THE ELKO Marguerite Clark has played al- most every conceivable character on the screen from the delightful little “Molly Make Believe” and ‘Little Lady Eileen” who believed in fairies to “‘Snow White,” who was a sort of fairy princess herself. William C. Turtle, the comical sleight of hand artist, pleased the audiences yesterday and will again appear at the Elko tonight showing an entire change in his entertaining act.
