You call it genius. But who ever knew a genius who was not an enthusiast on his hobby? What is a genius anyway, without enthusiasm? Hart Schaffner & Marx Sport Suits $20, $22, $25 . Enthusiasm is not a gift. It can be acquired by any normal person. It does not take the place of will power, but is the legitimate child of the will. Given the desire to succeed, enthusiasm can be cultivated, and when once acquired its power is limitless. Enthusiasm is not the exclusive dower of youth. Some of the bright- est minds the world 'has ever known has carried it down to the Valley of the Shadows. Neither is it the peculiar heritage of genius, for many of the world’s greatest benefactors have been people of mediocre gifts, but obscessed You can wear them almost anywhere; for that early morning “hike””; for business; for sport; for semi-dress affairs and you’ll always look right and feel right. For breezy, comfortable; spirited style, you ° can't find anything better than these fine suits. : And value---well come in and see it for yourself. The strenuous days through which we are passing call for unbridled enthusiasm. ‘ Be an enthusiast! Only the derelicts and failures will sneer. The success of the reception to the Jefferson Highway trippers on their arrival in Bemidji from their return trip to New Orleans was mainly due to the untiring efforts of P. E. Geier, secretary of the Commecial club. He enlisted able lieutenants and the distinguished guests had every reason 1o realize that Bemidji was alive to the highway and glad to be one of the important spots on its long trail. i We were surprised to learn that several of those present at the re- ception to the Jefferson Highway jaunters at Birchmont had never been to Birchmont and some of them were right from Bemidji. They hadn’t taken serious cognizance of what Birchmont really was. They know now and were not slow in becoming boosters. We're glad to be on the job again after a few days in dry dock for repairs and hope not to slip again. The “doc” said it was nervousness and if one can keep up with the game around here and not get nervous he’s got to be copper lined nnd rivited. Judging from his actions, Mayor Thompson of Chicago has no desire to become president. He prefers to sputter in the halo of the kaiser. If this row between General Goethals and the shipping board does not simmer down soon the whole bunch will need disinfecting. PR So another alleged bootlegger has been arrested, this time. Well!
