EVANGELIST SERVICES AT BAPTIST CHURCH Evangelist C. C. Smith gave a practical discourse on “The Essen- tials to the Success of a Revival”, at the Baptist church last evening. He is devoid of sensational and spectac- ular methods and conducts his meetings on time. He says “as a railroad man I,learned to have term- inal facilities, and I apply them to my meetings.” The music was a feature. Prof. Gilmore is conceeded to be ome of the best choir directors in the evangelistic field, and it was sur- prising what splendid work was done by the big choir last evening so early in the campaign. Messrs. Smith and Gilmore sang two duets, for the evangelist himself is a singer and ‘was for ten years first tenor of the famous International male quartet and was associated with E. W. Peck, who is the present state secretary of the Y. M. C. A.,, of Minnesota, and known to many in Bemidji. This evening at the Baptist church Mr. Smith will speak upon ‘“The Last Command of Christ’” and Smith and Gilmore will sing two of their fine duets, among the other musical num- bers. Following the first service a brief choir rehearsal will be held, to which all singers are invited. FUNERAL DIRECTOR M. E. IBERTSON UNDERTAKER 405 Beltrami Ave, ’ C. W. Tonight the Elko program presents Bushman .and Bayne in “The Trap,” the fifth episode, and one of the most thrilling of ‘“The Great Secret” ser- jal; Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Drew in one of their delightful comedies en- titled “Henry’s Thanksgiving,” also a “Black Cat” magazine story “The Little Missionary” in which Mary McAllister is presented.
