MARCH 2. 1917. “STORK SHOWER” A stork shower was given in honor ‘Women of the Ladies’ Aid society of the Baptist church will give a magazine social in the basement. of the church this evening for the bene- fit of their society. This social will be in the form of a pantomime, the various departments of magazines be- ing acted by persons. The cover de- sign will be acted by several persons and the committee in charge of the editorials, although it refuses to give the exact manner in which that part of the magazine will be shown, says that there are surprises in store. Sev- eral small girls will represent the needlework department; musicians will represent the music department and a reading or story to be told by one of the members of the society will represent the story part. The advertising department will be acted and the guests will be expected to guess the name of the advertiser. i EASTER SALE At the meeting of the Presbyterian Ladies’ Aid society yesterday after- noon-in the basement of the church, it was decided to hold the annual Easter sale, Saturday, March 24. They also planned on holding a parcel post and food sale. The ladies decided to again; collect old newspapers and magazines and will commence collect- ing as soon as they find a suitable warehouse in which to store the same. A large number were pres- ent at the meeting yesterday and lunch was served by the First divi- sion. the course of the afternoon.
