FORMER BANKER HERE Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Taber of Park Rapids, Minn., were guests at the Joseph McFadden home yesterday, being enroute to their home from Minneapolis where they attended the auto show. Mr. Taber is president of the First National bank of Park Rapids and started the first bank in Bemidji many years ago, before the first railroad came through here. He hauled the safe for the bank all the way from Park Rapids, a distance of about 50 miles. AWAY ON BUSINESS H. C.
