SATURDAY. DECEMBER 9, 1916. The members of the Linger Longer ¢ club pleasantly surprised Mrs. S. A. Cutter yesterday, it being her birth anniversary. The self-invited. guests gathered at the Cutter home ,and Dbrepared a seven o’clock chlcken pie dinper. Those .present were, Mes- dames C. P. Lar<on. Berge}- pud ' Mabel Young and Messrs, and Mes- dames S. A. Cutter, Andy Largon, W. J. Coleman, Clayton Wx ter, A. B. Webster, August. Benson, H. L. Rasmussen and John Hedeen. Thel guests presented Mrs. Cutter with a thermos bottle. The hoursy were spent in playing Five Hundred, Mr. and Mrs. Andy Larson receiving. the highest score and Mrs. Rasmugsen and Mr. Cutter carrying off the booby prizes. The members of ‘the B. A. C. club of the Presbyterian church énjoyed a weiner roast near.the anson cot- tage at Grand Forks Bay labt eve- ning. After the weiners ‘were roast- ed over a big fire, games were played and stories told by the different mem- bers of the club. There were twen- ty-four members present last evening The membership wad at first limited to twenty, but has been increased to twenty-five. There are at present four on the waiting list. Rev. Les- ter P. Warford, pastor of the church, is special advisor of the club and leads the drills. The next meeting , will be held in the church basement Friday evening at 7:30 o’clock.
