Under the auspices of the Woman’s Study club of Bemidji, the Interna- tional Operatic company will give an entertainment in the Grand theater this evening. The doors will open at 7:30 and the entertainment will commence at 8:15. No seats are re- served. This company has been in existance for a number of years and is in such great demand that their time is usually sold for a year or two in advance. It is called “Interna- tional” because each member of the quintet represents a different nation- ality. Teckla Farm McKinnie, for- merly with Mme. Schuman Heink, the soprano, is a Swede. J. Allen Grubb, tenor, one of Chicago’s most popular concert artists, is a Scotch- man. Miss Rose Heidenreich, a well known Chicago musician, is of Ger- ran extraction. Miss Margaret Day, piano soloist, is an English woman, and Burt McKinnie, baritone and director, formerly a member of Sav- age’s Grand Opera company, is an Irishman. This remarkable company will give a mixed program from the best of the modern popular operas, illustrated in appropriate costumes. The program will consist of solos, duets and quarettes of standard and classical music, of folk songs and of popular songs of the day.
