Troppman, manager of the Troppman department store, will re- turn from Minneapolis tomorrow morning where he has spent the past week on business. Mr. Troppman has shipped 25 cars of potatoes this fall and went to the cities to close several potato deals. J. W. Naugle, manager of the Nau- gle Pole & Tie company, returned this morning from a two weeks' busi- ness trip to Minneapolis, Chicago and Bay City, Mich. While in Chicago Mr. Naugle visited his daughter, Mrs. Harry P. Dunning, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dunning are former Be- midji residents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kohler return- ed Friday morning from Minneapolis. They made the trip to Minneapolis by automobile in nine hours and five minutes actual driving time, over the Jefferson highway. Mr. Kohler re- ports that the roads are in excellent condition. They left the car in Min- neapolis to be repaired and returned by train. The Thanksgiving jubilee to be given in Swedish Lutheran chureh Thursday evening, has been postponed until Friday evening on ac- count of not being able to get the speakers for the occasion on Thurs- day night. The program Friday eve- ning will consist of speeches, musical numbers, ete. The feature of the evening will be the burning of the $500 mortgage against the church, which will leave it free from any en- cumbrance. The public is invited to attend the jubilee, the Mrs. S. E. Hart left Saturday night for Minneapolis and St. Paul where she will visit friends. The M. S. club met at the home of Miss Bertha Goldberg Friday eve- nitig. The hours were spent in play- ing games and music and a number of new members were initiated.
