Mr. and Mrs. Procter will make their home on the Procter farm six miles east of Bemidji. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Hahn of Rock Lake, N. D., were in Bemidji Satur- day. Mr. Hahn wants to buy a tract of land composed of two or three sec- tions of land and establish a Dunkard settlement in this vicinity, and if suitable arrangements can be made a Dunkard church will be built. Mrs. Parmenter of Hastings, Minn., is in the city, having been called here by the illness of her daughter, Mrs. C. B. Powell. Mrs. Powell’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Ed Parmenter, of Hastings, who has visited Mrs. Pow- ell for the past couple of days, re- turned to her home yesterday. John Hakkerup and family left riday for Virginia, Minn., where Mr. ‘akkerup will open a studio. He was formerly in the photography business in Crookston. John Hakke- rup is a brother of N. L. Hakkerup of this city. George R. Merritt, general agent of the refrigerator service of the North- ern Pacific Railroad company, St. Paul, was the guest of George Walk- er, Bemidji agent of the Minnesota & International Ry. Co., Saturday. Attorney M. J. Brown, who has been appointed commissioner to con- duct the investigation of Koochi- ching county affairs, returned to In- ternational Falls this morning after spending Sunday with his family. Mesdames Andrew Anderson, A. Torgenson and T. Lovedahl of Big Falls, Minn.,, who have been guests at the A. Aakhus home in East Be- midji for the past week, returned to their homes Saturday. Hayth of Northern were the guests of Bemidji friends Saturday afternoon. Miss Mavis Warner, who has vis- ited relatives in Crookston for a short time, returned to her home in Puposky today. John Morrison, police officer at the Elks’ Kangaroo court, returned to his home at the Red Lake agency this morning. R. C.
