Miss Lydia Ekelund has returned from the Twin Cities where she has spent the past two weeks as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Oppedahl. Mr. and Mrs. Oppedahl have had a cottage at Grand Forks Bay during the summer months. They expect 240 go to Palm Beach, Fla., for the winter and will be accompanied by Miss Ekelund. Mrs. M. A. Spooner of Lake Boule- vard returned Saturday morning from a six weeks’ visit at Denver, Chicago and other points. Judge Spooner, who accompanied his wife to Denver returned to Bemidji a week ago. Miss Helen Harnbeck of Superior, Wis., returned to Cass Lake Sunday after visiting Miss Susan Peckham for a short time. Miss Peckham is a,teacher in the Bemidji schools and Jdiss Harnbeck teaches at Cass Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krahn of Lavinia entertained at a weiner roast Saturday night in homor of their daughter, Isther, and Roy Chandler whose birth anniversaries occur on the same date. The Presbyterian Ladies’ Aid so- ciety will hold a business meeting tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Presbyterian church. All the ladies are requested to be present.
