[} Many at Dinner. A very enjoyable time was had Sunday evening at the dinner served at the Birchmont Beach hotel. An excellent dinner was served. A music program was given during which Miss Beth Evans sang several num- bers, accompanied by Miss Selma Wit- ting. Among the Bemidji people who attended were Messrs. and Mesdames E. A. Barker and family, C. A. Huff- man, A. A. Lord and family, George Campbell, W. P. Dyer and daughter, Thayer C. Bailey, George Cochran, Lee A. LaBaw, Philip Gill and Mrs. T. W. Stewart and Misses Vera and Helen Backus, Florence Hockman, Capitola Stewart, Mary Lydon and Messrs. E. B. Berman, Henry Comin- sky and Hallan L. Huffman. Sathre-Fitzwater. Saturday afternoon at five o’clock at the Methodist parsonage, Miss Grace Fitzwater and E. M. Sathre, both of this city, were united in mar- riage by Rev. B. D. Hanscom. They were attended by Miss Vera Camp- bell and William Johnson. Mr. Sa- thre is at the head of the Sathre Ab- stract company and the Bemidji Busi- ness college. He is also secretary of the Bemidji Commercial club. Miss Fitzwater has been instructor at the business college. Highway Tourists. A. R. Erdahl, Mrs. Eva Kaiser and Mrs. Joe Stidel of Northern. Aid to Hold Meet. The Presbyterian Ladies’ Aid so- ciety will enjoy a weiner roast at the sumfler home of Mrs. J. J. Opsahl tomorrow afternoon. Automobiles will be at the church at two o’clock to take the ladies to the summer home. Undergoes Operation. Miss Mildred Clark, daughter of Judge and Mrs. M. A. Clark, under- went an operation Saturday after- noon at St. Anthony’s hospital for appendicitis. Her condition is re- ported as satisfactory today. Teachers Arrive.
