Henry E. Dixey, who has long been considered one of the cleverest comedians on the American stage, will be shown at the Rex theater Sat- urday in “Father and Son.” This play is an amusing comedy by Ray- mond Shrock and Hugh Weir. The play is introduced by the Mutual Master Pictures De Luxe Edition. The Rex plans a big feature play every Saturday and Monday evening. Theater Party. Mrs. E. R. Evans chaperoned a theater party at the Grand theater last evening given in honor of Misses Jean and Catherine Richards of Spo- kane, Wash. The guests were the Misses Jean and Catherine Richards, Margaret Anderson, Margarét Mec- Gee, Marie Burke, Rose Burke, Gert- rude Malone, Helen Evans and Mar- garet Rood. Entertains Class. Misses Marie Cahill and Alma Loit- ved are entertaining the girls of the high school class of 1915 this after- «noon at the Cahill home. Miss Tinnie Pendergast, teacher of the government school at the White Earth Indian reservation, returned to her duties today after having spent the summer at the home of her par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Pendergast at Lake Plantaganet. Miss Chance Here, Miss Catherine Chance of Little Falls, who was an instructor in the Bemidji schools last year, is in Be- midji visiting Miss Elsie Schmitt. Miss Chance will teach school at Ely, Minn., the next .jyear. Vacationists Leave. Mrs. O. B. Osmand and daughter, Arline, left last evening for their home in Minneapolis after a summer vacation in Bemidji. Mrs. Osmand is an instructor in the Minneapolis public schools. Teacher to Arrive. Miss Catherine Beudleman is ex- pected to arrive in Bemidji today from California where she has been spending her summer vacation. She will resume her duties in the public schools here.
