MEXIGAN SITUATION REPORTED SERIOUS ‘Washington, June’14.—The Mexi- can situation is worse. The anti- American propaganda in Northera Mexico is spreading rapidly. A member of the army staff today stated candidly that if the border needs more troops they will call out the state militia. Besides 1,000 coast artillery corps, there are only 1,600 available regulars stationed in Alaska who are not the border. Although officials insisted that no special instructions had been sent the heads of the national guards to be in readiness, it 15‘officially admitted that the officers of the national guards are working overtime getting supplies and equipment up to the proper standard.
