No. 7 only, the table showing the state and county rates can be applied to all other towns, villages and districts, as they are the same all over the county. Begging pardon for taking so much of your space, but believing that the information conveyed is desired by the taxpayers of the city and county generally, I remain, Respectfully, J. L. GEORGE, County Auditor. BEMIDJI NINE DEFEATS BAGLEY IN SWATFEST (Continued from Page 1) Bemidji scored in every-inning but the sixth and seventh. In two frames the entire Bemidji team batted around, being in the second and fourth innings. The Bagley team made a large number of errors which accounted for many runs. Has Fast Team. That Bemidji has a fast team this year has been demonstrated by the brand of ball the team has been play- ing. The team is being well sup- ported by the Bemidji fans. The Be- midji band attended the game yester- day and helped the enthusiasm of the rooters. Benton Plays Good. Benton, a Grand Rapids player, was at first base yesterday and made a hit with the fans with his fast and clean work. He starred at the bat, securing three hits, two of these being two-baggers, and walked two times, besides fielding his posmon without a wobble. The score by innings: Bemidji .37342002x—21 19 4 .200000000— 2 5 12 NOTES ON THE GAME, Diedrich got the first home run of the season at the new park Sunday afternoon. It was a long drive over the left field fence in the fourth in- ning, sending two men ahead of him. He also secured two singles. All the Bemidji players hit safely with the exception of BE. Bailéy, Whaley getting three hits, one being for two bases, Berrigan two, Howe three, one for an extra base, and Kannerberg three. Frank, the sorrel topped catcher, is a great favorite with the fans. He pegs to bases like a rifle shot and got two “stealing” on him Sunday. Kannerberg made a good catch in right field, spearing the ball after a hard run. Bemidji has a fast outfield and in Sunday’s game the outer gardeners accepted all chances without an er- ror. In baseball language, they are “‘dead” on fly balls. The fans are eagerly looking for- ward to future games when teams will be brought here capable of giv- ing the local aggregation a hard game. ADVERTISEMENT. (Authorized by Elias Steenerson.
