Fuller on New Years’ day. There were 48 present at dinner which Mrs. Fuller served at noon. Quite a few visit- ors were present which we like to see. The next regular meeting will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Cook gn February 2. A large crowd is éxpected. Mr. and Mrs. N. F. Jenner who have been visiting at Shore Arcres farm have returned home. Carrol and Laurence Knox, stu- dents of Bemidji high school, re- turned to Bemidji Monday where they resumed their studies. School at the Watson school house began work on Monday after a week’s vacation. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Randall, Lake- side farm, entertained at dinner on Sunday. Mr. Lee of Red Lake farm station visited at the homes of M. L. Fuller and Ira Cook on New Year’s day. The H. R. F. society gave a Leap Year dance at the Ten Mile Lake school house on New Year’s night. Farnham Wason is visiting at the home of his mother, Mrs. Ella Wat- son. The Misses Edna and Martha Wright visited at Shore Acres farm from Friday until Monday. Ira Stout called at Boston Lake last week. G. B. Fuller, Lakeview stock farm, has returned to St. Paul where he is an engineer on the Chicago Great Western after a two weeks’ vacation at home. Mae Fuller, a student of the Be- midji high school, has returned to Bemidji. Quite a few Pleasant Valley men are busy hauling cedar and wood these fine days. The program was arranged by Miss Dathc and was given by the school children with the aid of some of the most prominent citizens. After a song by the en- tire student body Mr. Storry deliv- ered the invocation. The program of the pupils’ recitations, dialogues and songs followed. Santa made his appearance toward the end and distributed nuts, candy and fruits to the entire audience. The entertainment was concluded by songs in English and German and in the Irish dialect which were all very touching. A Leap Year dance was given in the town hall on January 1 at which there was a large attendance. - The teacher of the Puposky school has resigned her position which will soon be filled by a professor from the southern part of the state.
