Bowers and family attended the high school extension meeting in t{le town of Lammers Thursday. The Eckles Farmers’ club, which met at the home of Ole Storetrom was well attended. Oscar Olson has purchased a new automobile, this being the sixth one in this town. A ten- mill tax was voted. As there was not a majority of the voters present no action was taken on the school site. Mr. and Mrs. B. Carrack of Be- midji, who have been visiting with their son and daughter, Howard and Helen, on the farm, left this place the last of the week for Bayard, Ia., where they will spend a month with Mr. Carrack’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Anderson, F. E. Anderson, E. Anderson, Blynn An- derson, Ralph Brown and Mrs. John Noel and C. Worth and D. W. Wil- liams were among those who spent Saturday in the city shopping.
