The following program will be given: Devotional exercises, Rev. Alvord, dist. supt. of teacher train- ing; special music, chorus; paper, Mrs. Given-McGee, Presbyterian class, 1915; “How I Came to Take Teacher Training,” Mrs. H. Bridge- man, Nymore class 1915; solo, by Miss Ida Virginia Brown; “Teacher Training,” (a) Spiritual Side, C. L. Isted, (b) Social Side, Mrs. A. T. Carlson, M. E. class 1915; presenta- tion of 1915 graduates, Mrs. A. E. Head, county supt. of teacher train- ing; recognition of 1915 graduates and presentation of diplomas, A. M. Locker, state supt. of teacher train- ing; special music, choir; address by A. M. Locker; reunion of teacher training alumni. The music will be given by a union choir of the churches. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Heeter of Helga township were Bemidji business vis- itors yesterday. Miss Ethel Getchell left this noon for Chisholm, where she will teach in the public schools. The public is invited. Mrs. Henry Stechman of Tenstrike was in the city yesterday, enroute to the state fair. Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 7, the Woman’s Study club will hold a spe- cial meeting in the club room of the library for the purpose of making arrangements to sell tickets for the winter lyceum course. This is the third-year these entertainments have been held in Bemidji and they have proven a success in every way. Roy Rice and Ole Schroeder, two]| of Nymore’s young men, left this morning for Superior, Wis., where they will enter the employ of the Soo railway company. R. B. Chilcote, who recently pur- chased a home in the eastern part of the village, has begun work on the improvement of his house. When the improvements are finished he will have a fine modern residence. Mr. Chilcote is a railroad man, but at present is employed in the lumber mills. He is doing his own repair- ing on the house after working hours. SILVER CREEK CHILD KILLED BY STRAY. BULLET Baudette, Minn., Sept. 4.—While Mrs. Signard Johnson was at the Rippy home on Wednesday in Silver Creek, a town east of here, her 2- year-old child, who was looking out of the window, fell suddenly and when found was dead, bleeding from a wound on the side of her nose. It is thought that some careless hunter fired the shot, as the older girl thinks she heard a shot a mo- ment before. .
