Miss Leah Berman and her guest, Miss Edith Ellenstein, of Minneapolis, returned to Bemidji last evening from International Falls, from which city they went by boat to Kenora, Canada. Although the weather was a trifle cool for the excursion they enjoyed it, the beautiful scenery in the Lake of the Woods district es- pecially attracting their attention. Two carloads of mares and horses will be sold at auction or private sale, Saturday, Aug. 28, at Soo stock yards, one block south of Pogue & Sons’ barn.—Adv. M. G. Stokesberry, of Grand Forks, district commercial’ manager of the Northwestern Telephone company, spent yesterday in Bemidji, while here being in consultation with H. B.
