VILLA-ZAPATAFEUDLIKELY Latter’s Entrance Into Capital Said to Have Aroused 1indignation of North- ern Who Believes That Honor Belonged to Him as Organ- izer of Latest Revoit. El Paso, Tex, Nov. 27.—General Francisco' Villa will march into Mex- ico City at the head of his troops ‘| -‘within twenty-four hours. This _word"~ was brought by dis- patches - from the south, which de- clared the preparations for the trium- phal entry of the northern leader were completed and nothing was ex- pected to delay it. Provisional President Gutierrez had hoped to enter the capital with Villa, but it will-probably be impossible for him to reach Villa’s headquarters at Tula, near Mexico City, in time to participate. The eyacuation of the capital by General Lucio Blanco’s Carranza troops was unexpected. Villaistas at Juarez expressed great surprise at the action of General Emiliano Zapata in entering Mexico City. Villa, himself, it is said, feels cha- grin over hig failure to occupy Mexico City first, inasmuch as he instituted the movement which ousted Carranza from the capital. Many believe the present situation will mean the beginning of new trou- ble between Villa and Zapata. Reports of fighting are coming from all sections of Mexico. In a battle at Tampasoa, near Tampico, both the Villa and Carranza factions claimed victory. Villaista officers have reports of a victory for Villa's troops under Gen- eral Angeles at Guadalajara, but Car- ranzaistas insist Engeles has been re- pulsed and driven eastward. CITIZENS RESTORE ORDER Establish Semblance of Peace in Mex- ico City. Mexico City, Nov. 27.—Bands of armed citizens organized as vigilantes have established a semblance of order out of the chaos of the past few days. Except 1h certain sections of the capital looting and disorders have ceased. The police for a time were unable. to aid in enforcing order, as many of them had ‘been disarmed when the first of Zapata’s troopers entered the city. ¥ : i If Zapata himself entered Mexico City he has kept himself and his whereabouts ‘concealed. Not even those who have constituted them- selves authorities appear to know whether the bandit leader is in the city. Street car traffic, which stopped al- together when Zapata’s advance guard first began to’ pour into the streets with much Wild shooting of rifles and revolvers lias been partly resumed. The first outburst of the Zapataistas caused intense consternation and ap- prehension. Later the soldiers aided the self-constituted citizen guard in re- storing-in some degree normal condi- tions.
