iz g FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 1914 KKK KKK R KKK * TENSTRIKE * HHK KK KKK KKK KKK A party of seven young men, gradu- ates of Williams college at Montic- ello, arrived in Tenstrike this week and have gone into camp in the Stech- man buildings on the north shore of Twin Lakes. They are taking this vacation where they will have an op- portunity to hunt and fish and they will stay in camp until early spring. In the party are William Schultz, Hugo Menzel, Leland Stevans, Henry Hanson, Tom Garetsee, Otho Hartley and Elra Lashar,all of Monticello, Minn. B. M. Gile and W. P. Dyer of Be- midji came up on the early morning train on Saturday for a hunting trip with Mr. Schulke. The Tenstrike Commercial club gave its grand opening ball in the ¢Inb rooms last ¥riday evening. A large number attended and all en- joyed a splendid evening. These dancing parties will be held twice a month during the winter. Miss Myrle Cockborn was a Be- midji visitor on Saturday. Roy Brinkman of Pilligar, who has been visiting R. E. Schumacher at Woodland Farm the past month, re- turned home on Saturday. William Schultz of Monticello call- ed at the Schulke farm on Tuesday. Mr. Schultz is a cousin of William Schulke and is one of the hunting party camped on Twin Lakes. Large numbers of deer hunters are coming into Tenstrike every day. All report there are plenty of deer. in this vicinity. Mrs. Alger, who 'has been visiting at the home of her son, E .D. Alger, has returned to Dmluth. Roland Fellows attended ‘the board meeting in Bemidji last ‘week. Miss Esther Krohn and 'R. E. Schumacher attewded ‘the box social at Dist. No. 99 schodl house on Sat- urday evening. On account of the increase in busi- ness, Dell Amadon has engaged a first class blacksmith to assist him. Mrs. George Daniel of Bagley was here Friday. Dahl Brothers have bought the Daniels lot and will put up a fine building, 24x80, in which they will start a fancy grocery store, restaur- ant, confectionery and a paint shop. G. P. Jones of the Bagley Herald was here Monday and endorsed Mrs. Burfield for postmistress. Mrs. P. G. Anderson and son Al- bert were callers. at Bemidji Satur- day.
