Washington, July 10.—Paul War- burg, the New York banker, has re- considered his request that President Wilson withdraw his nomination as a member of the federal reserve board on the condition that he will not con- sent to appear before the senate bank- ing committee to be cross-examined. After receipt of a telegram from Mr. Warburg it was said by officials ~|close to the president that an active fight would be made for the confirma- tion. It was declared that should the banking committee fail to report the nomination favorably the president expects the senateé to act as a whole. The situation as to the nomination of Thomas D. Jones of Chicago re- mains unchanged. It was said the president would ' continue to press for his confirmation. RUG AND CARPET GLEANING H. J. While wispy, gray, faded hair is not sinful, we all desire to retain our youth- ful appearancé and. attractiveness. By darkening your, hair with Wyeth’s Sage and Sulphur, o one can tell, because it does it so maturally, so evenly. You t dunpen a ‘sponge or soft brush with and drawithis through- your hair, taking one small strand at a time; by morning all gray hairs have disappeared.
