ROYAL FANILY ON BOARD Attempted Assassination Causes Col- lapse of Czarina, Whose Physician Fears Gravest Consequences—Many in Derailed Coaches Sustain Injuries. Passengers London, June 19.—Extermination of Czar, Nicholas of Russia and his en- tire family by dynamite was attempt- |ed near Tschudnow, Russia. With the czarina 'and their children [ the Russian ruler and his entourage left Kishineff in two special trains! From Kasatin an ordinary passenger train preceded the royal coaches, ac- cording to the usual custom when a Russian emperor risks his life to jour- i ney across his empire. Near Tschudnow a terrific explo- sion overturnéd the engine and derail- ed the coaches of the passenger.train. So great was the force of the ex- plosion that several Qoaches were shattered‘and many passengers badly hurt. . ‘ No doubt is felt in St. Petersburg that the aim of the plotters was to destroy the whole Russian royal fam- ily. The affair is saild to have caused the czarina’s utter collapse. She is secluded in St. Petersburg under the care of her ‘personal physician, who fears the gravest consequences on her health. TImmediately the news of the explo- sion was telegraphed back to Kasatin and the czar’s two trains were held there while secret police and Cos- sacks from the czar’s guard were rushed on a special train to the scene of the attempted assassination. The attempted murderers of royal- ty fled, leaving no trace of their iden- tity. After a thorough search of the vi- cinity had been made a special train with track walkers ahead went slow- ly ahead of the twoitoyal trains.
