St. Paul, June 8—The story that a nuptial death pact between himself and his wife led to the shooting of Mrs. Albert Masterman at the Star hotel and the subsequent Killing of Tony Skally, hotel proprietor, was told to mewspaper men by Albert Masterman, who was arrested several days after the shooting charged with the crime. . Masterman was arraigned in police court, but his preliminary hearing was continued pending the filing of a complaint. ) “When we were married by a jus- tice of the peace at Hnstings three years ago each signed an agreement to shoot the other in the event of in- fidelity,” Masterman declared. . “'If you ever prove untrue to me I'll kill you, said my wife, and I ex- pressed the same sentiment. We de- cided to sign an agreement to that ef- fect.” “Was the shooting the result of that understanding?” Masterman was asked. “That will develop in due time,” he replied. He declined to say where the writ- ten agreement might be found, but said it was put away with the mar- riage certificate. « \ LIABILITIES OF $5,‘000,000 Prominent London Firm of Mer. chants and Bankers Suspends. ADDITIONAL WANTS TOO LATE TO CLASSIFY SIGE TH 165 Y0UR AR DA It's Grandmother’s recipe to bring back color, thickness and lustre— Everybody is using it again. Gray hair, however handsome, denotes advancing age. We all know the advan- tages of a youthful appearance. Your hair”is your charm. It makes or mars the face. When it fades, turns gray and looks dry, wispy and scraggly, just a few applications of Sagé Tea and Sulphur enhances its appearance a hundred-fold. Don’t stay gray! Look young! Either prepare the tonic at home or get from any drug store a 60 cent bottle of “Wyeth’s Sage and Sulphur Hair Rem- edy.” Thousands of foiks recommend this ready-to-use preparation, because it dark- ens the hair beautifully and remaves dandruff, stops scalp itching and falling hair; besides, no one can possibly tell, as it darkens so maturally and evenly. You moisten a spouge or soft brush with it, drawing this through the hair, taking ¥ one small strand at a time. By morning the gray hair disappears; after another application or two, its matural color is | restored and it becomes thick, glossy and lustrous, and you appear years younger. ‘Ft.
