Fred Trimble of Bemidji has pur- chased two lots of Gust Johnson and will erect a residence this summer and move his family into it. H. A. Bridgeman has purchased a lot of William Ridgeway and will ‘build a residence before fall. Henry Johnson is doing carpenter work in Bemidji. Mrs. H. H. Jentz and little daugh- ter Rhoda, of Viggar Saskatchewan, Canada, are visiting at the H. A. Bridgeman home. AKX KKK KKKEKY X KK * PLEASANT VALLEY. * KKK KKK KKK The Pleasant Valley Farmers’ «club held its regular meeting for the month of May at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Vogler. In spite of the rain, which fell nearly all day, quite a large crowd was present and a good time was enjoyed by all. F. V. Gardner, at roll call, gave us an interesting account of a trip to the Farm Station at Red Lake agency, which Ira Cook, Mr. Tommy Randall and himself had taken the week be- fore. A. H. Watson gave a very comprehensive talk on “silos,” their use, different kinds of silos, cost cf filling, etc. Newman Knox also ‘gave us a short talk on the same subject. Frank Stout of Island Lake and M. D. Fuller and family, ‘who have recently moved here from Red Lake, were accepted as members of our club. Mrs. Vogler served us a fine dinner and the meeting was adjourned, all present feeling that they had spent a rainy day pleasant- 1y and profitably. The next meet- ing will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Knox, Tuesday, June 2. John Dietel and mother of Nebish attended the meeting at Mr. Vog- ler’s. Mr. and Mrs. Goddard of the Red Lake agency drove down to Pleasant Valley Sunday with their new auto- mobile, to visit with the family of A. A. Randall, who is working Mr. Goddard’s farm here. M. D. Fuller went up to the agen- cy Saturday to have the doctor there attend to a felon, from which he is suffering. W. 8. Fauhl had the misfortune to lose a fine heifer last week, by her breaking through the bog and ‘drowning in the lake near his home. F. V. Gardner has recently pur- chased a fine team of work horses from Axel Salmer, east of Nebish.
