Miss Frances Bowers returned to her school near Solway last Sunday after spending a ten day vacation at home, Among the families from Eckles which attended the farmers’ meeting at Bemidji last Saturday were the McGhee’s, Dolgon’s, Macalony’s, Grow’s and Gould’s. They say this was the best farmers meeting ever held in Bemidji. Supt. W. B. Stewart, and Prof. Ericksen of the University Exten- sion addressed the Farmers club and the market garden association. The school girls served coffee and sand- wiches. A pleasant time was enjoy- ed by all. The members of the gar- -den association will raise a number of acres of garden truck. Manager iGould will make daily trips begin- ning June 1st with cream, butter, eggs and garden vegetables. Geo. Dobson’s -visited with Geo. Brennan’s last Sunday.
