PANKHURST TO RE- TURN TO LONDON, Paris, Dec. 11.—Mrs. Emme- line Pankhurst, English suf- fragette militant, is secluded at the home of her daughter, Migs Christobel Pankhurst. The daughter said her moth- er was very weak, but was determined to return to Lon- don by Monday, when she is scheduled to address a meet- ing in Albert hall. o e ofe e b ol ofo b b ool e b o b B i e e i o e e e i T B R R o ) FLOOD CONTINUES IN TEXAS Death List Reains at One Hundred and Sixty-Five. Houston, Tex., Dec. 11.—Centered about Richmond, Tex., the Brazos river flood continued on to the gulf, leaving disaster in its wake. The flood overflowed a protecting bluff about Richmond, completely cut- ting off communication. The total loss of life remained at 165. Rescue squads continued to take flood victims from their places of Something To Wear--,- A smart feature of this blouse is the becoming V shaped yoke, which may be made of contrasting material very effectively. For instance, if the blouse were made of a dark material to match a costume the necessary bit of white at the throat could be introduced by bhaving this yoke and collar of hem- stitched crépe de Chine or net in white. 7828 is a model suitable for almost any blouse material, linen, silk or flan- nel. As wash silk is used so much at the moment by the business girl or woman, I wish to offer a suggestion that may be of use. Often after a frock or waist has been laundered there is is an unexplainable drawing of the seams. If the thread is soaked in cold water for some time and then allowed to dry thoroughly before us- ing with wash materials this will nev- er occur. _ This blouse may be made in size 36 with 214 yards of 36 inch material. The pattern is cut in 5 sizes; 34 to 42. This Is a Perfect Pattern. Be sure to state right size, measuring over the fullest part of the bust for dimensions. It may be obtained by filling out the coupon and enclosing 15 cents in stamps or coin to the Pattern Depart- ment of this paper. COUPON Name .. Street and No. City and State Pattern No. ..... L] 7 I TENER HEADS BIG LEAGUE Chosen President of National Base- e ball Clubs. New York, Dec. 11.—John K. Tener. governor of Pennsylvania, was elected president of the National League of Professional Baseball Clubs -to suc ceed Thomas J. Lynch. In a parting statement, delivered to members of the National league, Pres- ident Lynch suggested that they ac- quire themselves some of the dignity which they expected Govérnor Tener to bring to the league. “In choosing your next president you haye gone on record as wanting a man who will lend dignity and pres- tige to the league,” reads Mr. Lynch's statement. 3 , “In your selection of Governor Ten- er you have the right man; but T hope that you will inject some of the dignity expected of him into ‘your- selves and be a help instead of a hindrance to him.” (LADIES'! DARKEN YOUR GRAY HAIR Look years younger! Use Grand mother’s recipe of Sage Tea and Sulphur and nobody will know The use of Sage and Sulphur for re- storing faded, gray hair to its natur- al color dates back to grandmother’s time. She used it to keep her hair beautifully dark, glossy and abund- ant. Whenever her hair fell cut or took on that dull, faded or streaked appearance, this simple mixture was applied with wonderful effect. But brewing at home is mussy and out-of-date. Nowdays, by asking at any drug store for a 50 cent bottle of “Wyeth’s Sage and Sulphur Hair Remedy,” you will get this famous old recipe which can be depended up- on to restore natural color and beauty to the hair and is splendid for dan- druff, dr,y, feverish, itchy scalp and falling hair. A well-known druggist says it darkens the hair so naturally and evenly that nobody can tell it has been applied. You simply dampen a sponge or soft brush with it and draw this through your hair, taking one strand at a time. By morning the gray hair disappears, and after an- other application or two, it becomes beautifully dark, glossy, soft and abundant.
