WILL AGMN 'SELL EE S M Croms Stamps Are to Be Uflmd For Sale In Bemidji Again This Christmas 3 RECONSIDERED DROPPING THEM Red Cross Seal will again. be :sold during the Christmas holidays in Be- midji, contrary to the announcement which was made last year by the State Association for the Prevention and Relief of Tuberculosis, that no more seals would be-gold in the state.| The announcement was made be- cause the officers of the association thought the people were - growing tired of soliciting merchants and others to sell the seals,. and that many people having bought them for 80 many years would feel that they might be excused fro continuing the practice. However, Dr. Farrand, the execu- tive secretary of.the National Asso- ciation for the Study and Prevention of Tuberculosis, has pointed out the fact that there are probably commu- nities in this-state that wish to sell seals, but that no community can be allowed to sell-the Red Cross seals except by arragnement with the na- tional association, and this arrange- ment must be made through the state organization. “Although . the anti-tuberculosis cursade has been urged upon every civilized community for many years, a large proportion of the population in- every country does not appreciate its significance, and still has to be There- fore, the national association is un- willing to allow such an opportun- ity as a seal-selling campaign to go by unutilized. “For these reasons, the officers of the Minnesota association have sur- rendered the position they took last years and have promised the execu- tive secretary of the national asso- ciation that ‘the sale of seals will be continued in Minnesota, ‘as he re- quests.” ADDITIONAL WANTS Too Late To-Classify WANTED—Nurse girl to-take care of four year old boy and assist with housework.
