In his flight be made 175 miles in four honrs. When the aeroplane was caught by the camera it was 13,000 feet above the level of the sea. This is one of the most unusual and striking pic- tures ever taken of an aeroplane in action. LEADERS OF CHURCH WILL BE PRESENT Great Gathering of Catholics at Milwaukee. Milwaukee, Aug. 11.—Thirty thou- sand persons are expected to arrive in Milwaukee to participate in the twelfth annual convention of the American’ Federation of Catholic Socieites. Of this number 450 will be delegates representing more than 3,000,000 members of the various socleties which make up the federa- tion. The convention is expected to be the largest Catholic meeting ever held in America and nearly all of the most Important men of that faith will be present. Among the most prominent are: .
