Mrs.William Shores, on American avenue, was taken suddenly ill Thursday. She will be taken to the St. Anthony’s hospital as soon as she can be moved. It is thought an operation may be necessary. Mrs. Geo. Sommer and guest, Miss Leonelle Benoit, arrived last night from a month’s. outing at Cross Lake, near Fosston, and a week’s outing at Lake Bemidji, where they were visiting friends—Crookston Daily Times. Mr. and Mrs. J. Fink and son Her- man and daughter Lee, of St. Paul who have been the guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Gill for some time will leave tomorrow for their home. They plan of spending a few weeks in Duluth enroute. Mr. and Mrs, Fink are Mrs. Gill's parents. A man wanted to send some mon- ey to his old mother in Ireland. Margaret Condon, Lottie Madson, Pearle Condon, Nellie Erick- son, Raymond Hannah, Charles Ger- linger, Leon Battles, Basil Hannah and Ralph Grane. After the business meeting was over, games and re- freshments were enjoyed. A basket social will be held at school No 1 Dist. 48, 2 miles north of Bemidji on Ervine avenue Tues- day, August 12, for the purpose of buying an organ for the Evergreen union Sunday School.
