Life Insurance and Vaccination. (Editorial from “The New Haven Union.”) The health bulletin No. 8 issued by | the Postal Life Insurance Co. says that “Vaccination and revaccination are compulsory in Prussia, where the deaths from smallpox from 1900 to 1909 were only 279. Population, 34,- 000,000 to 39,000,000.”” Also in an- other paragraph: “Deaths in Italy from smallpox from 1900 to 1909 were 17,719. Population, 32,00,000 to 34,000,000.”” Nothing is said about vaccination . and revaccindfioq in Italy, and the inference is that the practice is not enforced in that coun- try.
