Now that the cold months are about ended, ’tis time, physicians say, to prepare the body for the coming of spring so as to avoid colds in the changing weather. More persons have colds in the spring than at any other time of the year. Here are a few “don’ts” that are worth remem- bering: Don’t throw off the winter clath- ing till warmer weather is assured. Don’t allow your feet to get wet and remain wet all day. Don’t fail to air your home daily, regardless of the kind of weather. Dont’ neglect to take exercise each day, but don’t take it and then go out in the cold while bathed in perspira- tion. Don’t fail to keep the body clean and the pores of the skin open. Re- member, a mustard bath for the feet is better than a barrel of patent rem- edies when curing colds. Above all, at this time of the year, a cold bath in the morning, is bene- ficial. It does not necessarily have to be a complete immersion in a tub of ice water. Such treatment may be beneficial to only a few. But don’t fail to wash the face, neck and arms in cold water, and if you will con- tinue the sponge bath over the body, followed by a vigorous rubbing of the parts bathed, you will improve the | circulation and start the day right. In other words, don’t let the coming of spring and the advent of a few warm days with the ensuing per-| spiration, mark the closed season for fresh air. TO CURE A COLD IN ONE DAY Take LAXATIVE BROMO Quinine Tab- lets. Dr\g;llll refundmon ey if it fails to cure. ‘W.
