W. A. Gould, president of the Commer- cial club, yesterday received a tele- gram from the railroads that they would start shipping in gravel for the Nymore road at once if the pit at Thief River Falls was found to be satisfactory for concrete work. Mr. Iverts was unable to go yesterday. Loitved and Goodman yesterday afternoon started pouring the con- crete for the pavement on Third street and will have the three blocks laid by the last of this week or the first of next. If the Thief River Falls gravel is approved by the engineer, the contractors will start on the Ny- more road at once. From the east end of the river bridge to the city limits the road will have to be graded down and then built up in places as it has been filled in with saw dust, slabs, some clay and sand. 'The contractors figured an increase of twenty per cent in the expense over that of Bemidji avenue. Connaught Review Cadets.
