Farm- ers bringing loads into Bemidji have had to cut them in two in order to get them the last mile into the city. Automobiles starting east have had to plough through eight inches deep. The board of equalization of Beltrami county met in adjourned session at the county commissioners’ rooms in the court house in the city of Bemidji, as per adjournment at 2 p. m., August 5th, 1912, . Members present: Rako, Clementson, Myhre, Peterson, Fellows and George. Absent: None. The oath was administered to Com- missioner Clementson, who had not been present at the previous meeting. After which the board was called to order by Chairman Rako, and the members pro- ceeded to examine the various individu- als for whom notice had been issued to show cause why their assessment should not be raised. A report was received from the su- pervisor of assessments, relative to timber examined and estimated in the town of. 151-30, and the supervisor was instructed to return to the work and proceed with same as far as possible, and report to the board on August 19th. On motion duly made, seconded and permission of its second, the motion was withdrawn. Moved by Peterson, seconded by My- rhe, that the personal property valuation of the Crookston Lumber company in 17-A be increased to $484,000. Roll call, Ayes, Rako, Myrhe, Peterson.
