Cather Tex Erwin of the Brook- lyn team is one of the.classiest hit- ting catchers in the National league. With Young, Tenney, Kling, Stein-| feldt and Donlin the Boston Rustlers surely have a big bunch of veterans. 1t is said that Manager Clark Grif- fith of the Cincinnati team- is slated to manage the St. Louis Browns next season. Lajoie at first, Ball second, Olsen playing short and Turner on the far turn, make up a corking infield for the Cleveland Naps. The two new recruits from the New England league, Patsy Bauman with Detroit, and Henriksen with the Bos- ton Red Sox, are both making good. RQUGHAGE ESSENTIAL TO STOCK Should Be Sufficient Mixed With the Grain Feeds to Assure Grinding. Grain should be fed with roughage, as then it goes into the first stomach, and will be rechewed. If the grain is eaten alone, it is apt to go to the third stomach and to miss the re- chewing. To make sure that the feed is thoroughly chewed feed it with roughage. The best way is to cut they or straw, mix the grain feed with it; then it will go through the whole grinding process. Looks That Way. A New York woman has an anklet that cost $25,000.
