Juarez, Mex., May 19.—F'rancisco 1. Madero, Jr., has announced that the news from Mexico City was, so entire- ly satisfactory to him it might be uni- versally proclaimed that peace throughout Mexico is now an accom- plished fact. . Madero will accept the offer ¢ go to Mexico City to act as chief adviser to Minister of Foreign Relations de la Barra, who will become president ad interim. B : As the date for the withdrawal from office of President Diaz and Vice Pres- ident Corral has been definitely fixed for June 1 it will not be necessary for the insurrectos to institute provisional government or provisional members of the cabinet for the intervening twelve doys, but the fact that Madero the reorganization of the government will be accepted as sufficient guaran- tee of the'success of the revolution. Diaz’ announcement of his inten- tion to resign is accepted with abso- lute faith by the rebels. the future policy of the Madero gov- ernment toward foreign capital in Mexico, Senor Madero said he and his cabinet would continue to encourage American investments, but a vigorous prohibition would be made - against trusts of any kind, and against the wholesale granting of concossions. Ma- dero has no doubt that he will be the next regularly elected vresident of Mexico and that Dr. Vasquez Geomez ‘ will be the vice president.
