Lincoln, Neb., Dec. 9.—The Nebras- ka railway commission has submitted lenberger, the retiring executive, It shows that in the last two years the maximum freight rate and the 2-cent passenger_laws have saved the people of the state $750,000 a year in freight charges and $2,000,000 in passenger fares. Both laws are being fought in the courts, the railroads, which are plaintiffs, taking the position that the rates are confiscatory.
