Write to C. D. Brower, Kimball, Minn. The Northwest Paper company is to use the great power of the Mis- sissippi river going to waste at the Brainerd dam to run a paper mill. It has been learned from a reliable source that active preparations are now under way for the construction of one of the largest paper mills in the country by the Northwest Paper company, the owner of the pulp mill. The Brainerd dam is to be raised from four to six feet to develop more horse power. Dressed in Indian costume, Miss IsabelleC rawford, missionary among the Indians of New Mexico and, Oklahoma for the past 15 years gave an interesting lecture on her experience among the different tribes to an audience at the First Bap- tist church here last evening. Miss Crawford explained how she had at first affiliated herself with a tribe located about 80 miles fron a rail- road. How she had first begun by interesting them industrially, then teaching them to read and write, and later introduc- ing religion.
