Claims He Spent $40,698.83 for His Congressional Nomination, SIBLEY SPENT $40,698.83 Gained Congressional Nomination by 689 Plurality for That Sum. Franklin, Pa., June 23.—Joseph C. Sibley paid $40,689.83 to win the Re- publican nomination for congress, ac- cording to his own sworn statement. He received 10,466 votes, which makes the average ver vote a little less than $4.
