Mr. Smith expects to remain in the city and return to Bemidji Wednesday night, Earl Wood, a small boy who is camping with his parents at Grand Forks bay, had the misfortune to run a fish book through his finger. He came ruunning to the camp with the pole in one hand and the hook in the other. A pair of pliers manipulated by G. F. Wilson, manager of the Grand Forks | Herald, was used in extracting the hook from his finger. Both mother and son weie badly frightened but it is thought that nothing serious will result. H. L. Wilson and family came over from Grand Forks, N. D., to locate in their new cottage at Grand Forks Bay. Mrs. Wilson and children will remain at the Bay on Lake Bemidji during the entire sum- mer months, Mr. Wilson returned to Grand Forks on the afternoon | train and expects to visit with the family very frequently during the summer. He expressed himself as being much pleased with the loca- tion and the surroundings of Bemidji. When asked what he though of the week end train running from Grand Forks to Mentor, he said, “The train surely ought to come to Bemidji. We Grand Forks people heartily en- dorse any action that would result in bringing this about. It is thought that if the Great Northern were pur- suaded from both ends of the line to conduct this week end train on through to Bemidji from Grand { Forks it would result in a reality.” ‘The new Home bakery is open for business. Louis von Phul and Wooster Lambert, aeronauts, fell into the Mississippi river north of here.
