Mr. Hagberg will be in Northome for a few davs and then go on to Brainerd where Mrs. Hagberg will join him soon. Miss Inez Fellman, sister of Mrs. Hagberg. will remain in Bemidji for a week and then join Mr. and Mrs. Hagberg in Brainerd. Deputy Sheriff Arthur Broske has received a notice of his rating from the United States Civil Service com- mission in St. Paul which states that he made an average of 75.51 per cent in the postal examination held here May 18. Mr. Broske re- ceived second honors among four candidates. The examination was held for the purpose of becoming eligible for the position of clerk or mail carrier. ’ Millinery at cost at the removal sale of millinery department of the Berman Emporium. John Bergquist, of Bagley Town- ship, found iron ore recently near Dorge Creek. He brought some of the ore to Bemidji and had it tested, finding that it was 25 per cent pure. Dorge Creek runs through his” farm and he may have been living over a good bed of iron for years.
