Minneapolis, May 28.—Minnea- polis citizens breathed a sigh of relief this morning when it was learned, after an all night’s fight with fires in the implement and milling districts, that the mills would not go. The estimated loss was placed at $750,000. Every piece of fire .apparatus in Minneapolis and three engine com- panies from St. Paul were called in- to action to fight the fire. For more than three hours the big flour mills were in great danger. Nearly every building in the block bounded by Washington and Third street, and Six and Seventh avenues south, were damaged. Three large warehouses filled to the roof with machinery for the coming harvest were totally destroyed. To Solicit Money.
