Now the growl is that the dollar will not buy enough. Queer world this is, but the dollar is still boss. This is the pneumonia season, and you should promptly care for the slight cold that lurks in every breeze, while keeping out of the wintry blizzard. Do not shed your heavy underwear because a robin has ventured out of a steam heated barn. There can be no objections to the selection of A. Kaiser, of Bagley, as a candidate for the state treasurer- ship, while there is every reason for placing his name upon the republi- can ticket. Provided he becomes a candidate, his nomination would be the conferring of only a just distinc- tion upon a worthy and loyal mem- ber of the party, capable in every respect to creditably fulfill the duties of the responsible position. And at the same time, it would be dealing but fairly with this part of the state, by giving representation from this section in the state offices.—Fosston Times. *‘Far away hills are green” is an old saying and full of truth. The wisdom and application of such a saying will be seen by all who call to mind the many who seek their fortunes elsewhere, when their pros- pect and fortune is right under their nose in their home county, The far away hills of other states seem to offer to them the golden entry-way to an earthly paradise. =~ How often this has proven to be but a deluding mirage, which has despaired and disappointed many, who have ulti- mately returned to their first love. But this is not the only pertinent application. The farmer who patron- izes, the mail order houses, and the business man who sends his printing out of town are equally within the scope of the “far away greeness” adage. Be content with home and help build up home institutions. Such articles should never be used except on presciiption of reputable physi- clans, as the damage they will do is tenfold to the good you can possibly derive from i them. Hall's Catarrh Cure, manufactured by F. J. Cheney & Co., Toldedo, O., contains no mercury, ard istaken internally, acting directly upon the blood and mucous services of the system.
