Blackduck, Dec, 5.— (Special correspondence of the Pioneer.)- A. j. Flemington moved his family into their new home on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Parker-of Summit Township have a new baby boy. A family by the name of Davis now occupy one of Dr, Freeburg's cottages on Third street. Mrs. Bisbee of Duluth came on Thursday night to assist in caring " for her daughter, Mrs, Koch. J. M. Reed has announced a “big sale’”at his store beginning December 3 and continuing for a week, Mrs. C. G. Johnson came up| from Bemidji Thursday evening ing for a couple of days visit with her many friends. While here she was entertained in the E. L, Oberg home, C. G. Johnsom came up from Bemidji on Monday evening on business. A few friends appreci- ated a call. J. C. Sullivan, ‘the popular jeweler,. departed {on. Parker on last Wednesday even- ing. Just members; their hus- bands and sweethearts were pres- ent and an enjoyable evening was spent in various games, guessing contests, etc, = Sandwiches, scal- loped oysters, coffee and cake were served. Mrs, Charles Hayden and Mrs. E. L. Oberg entertained the ¢500” club at a 6 o’clock dinner at the home of Mrs. Hayden on Friday evening. The table with covers for sixteen was in the shape of a *‘club? and beautifully decorated in the club colors of red and black and the four emblems of cards. . FLOUfi MILLS REOPENING Minneapolls Millers Say They GCan Now Ship ‘Product. Minneapolis, Dec. +—Seven flour mills were reported in operation in this city. The Northwestern -Consoli- dated Milling company has its A and B mulls going. The Pillsbury Flour company has its B and Anchor mills going, Washburn-Crosby company had half of its C and its D mills in opera- tion. The Ilatter company reported that the Minneapolis and St. Louis road is helping it out and that more mills will be reapened. BREAD TRUST FOR . . Oscher, when in this city a few days ago, admitted engineering the formation of a bread end cake con: cern in the Eastern states with a cap italization of not less than $10,000, 000, though he denied it was to be a “trust.” The )fl:(lt, it is belleved, is planning %o buy its flour direct from Western mille on mammoth contracts covering long periods and in this way to have a strong influence on the flour supply. GIRL MURDERED AND ROBBED Assailant Forces Acid Down Her Throat. Pltubuu,KAn. Deec. —Miss Goldie Ingberg was murdered and robbéd at her home here. "Her assailant forced carbolic acid down her throat, robbed her of her diamond ear rings and then dragged her out on the front porch, where she was found later by Her mother, who was awakened by her daughter’s moaning and calling.
