William Spellman, who hands out liquid refreshments for W. S. Lycan of Crookston, came up last night from Brainerd where he had been attending Fagles’ meeting, and will remain in this city during the Elks’ convention. - Robert DeLury of Walker, sheriff of Cass county, came up to the metropolis last evening and spent the night in the city. Bob knows of all the good things that are going on and he came up to see how well the convention is progressing. Aleck Arnold, member of "the Crookston lodge of Elks, came over from Cass Lake yesterday afternoon and spent the night in the citv. Special Agent Britt, of the Great Northern railway corps of detectives, was in the city yesterday afternoon and last night on official business. He arrested one A. W. Riddell for trespassing on the passenger coaches.
