Henry of Blackduck, is spending the day in the city purchasing horses for use in the woods for the Ross & Ross Lumber company. They need the horses for use in their camps near Kelliher and expect to ship a car- load from Crookston tomorrow. The horses which they secure at this time of the year are largely from farmers who have finished the larger part of their fall work and can spare some of their horses. Rundquist of Crookston, a representative of the Minneapolis Tribune, spent today in the city on his return home from a business trip up the M. & I., where he spent a few days in the interest of the Tribune. Chas. E. Spindler, a member of the firm of Barnhart Bros. & Spindler of Chicago, was a Bemidji visitor today while on his way to Inter- national Falls, where he has several tracts of land. Mr. Spindler is much pleased with the rapid and sub- stantial growth of Bemidji. Any persons having things which they wish to give to the rummage sale are requested to call up Mrs. S. E. P. White, phone 338, and list same with her. These goods will be gathered up Tuesday, and parties having same to give should notity Mrs. White before that date. Higgins, formerly of this city but now of Duluth, spent the last couple of days in the city on his way to Hibbing,where he will do some missionary work. Leon Amadon returned today noon from southern Clearwater county where he has been for a few days looking after a number of camps which he has there. C. M. Berry spent today in the city on his way to his home at Grand Forks, where he took his brother, Jos.Berry on the afternoon train. Jos.
