Mrs. Joe Lennes of TFosston arrived in Bemidji yesterday for a short visit with her sister, Mrs. A. L. Smith. She is accompanied by Miss Gusta Stortran of Crookston. John J. O’Neil the logger who is a partner in the logging business with Ervine of Stillwater, came down this morning from his home at Northome and passed on through to the twin cities and Duluth on a business trip. John Reibe, who owns a valuable claim near Nebish, left for Northome last night, where he will endeavor to make some collections for himself. Mr. Reibe spent the winter in Washington, but says Minnesota is good enough for him. F. E. Brinkman “chaperoned” a’ which went to Hackensack this morning to fish for bass. Swedback, has received a letter from the senator, written at Stockholm, Sweden, on July 27th,in which the senator states that he and Mrs. Swedback will sail from Hamburg, Germany, on August 15th, for New York and will immed- iately return to Bemidji. According to the letter, both Mr. Swedback and his wife are in excellent health. Lewis J.
