Word cemes from Brainerd that J. W. Bush, the passenger conductor on the M. & I, from Brainerd to Big Falls, is able to be out again, after having been confined to his bed with an at tack of lagrippe. Joseph Golem- boski has been punching tickets for Mr. Bush while the latter has been off duty. Bush ex- pects to resume his run next Monday. Charles Woods of Funkley was! transacting business in the city today. Miss Nora Osborn of Cass Lake came over from her home yesterday afternoon for a visit with friends in Bemidji. Jim Godatts, the heavyweight homesteader of Big Falls, spent yesterday in the city and re- turned to his home last evening.
