E. L. Wagner, brother of Joseph and Frank Wagner, re- turned this morning from North- ome, where he had been on a visit at the home of C. W. Wagner lives in Iowa, and has been in this vicinity for two weeks, He expects to return home next Monday. W. R. Spears, the general mer- chant and all ’round good fellow of Red Lake agency, came down from the agency yesterday and remained in the city until today, looking after some business mat- ters. Mr. Spears says that business matters are good with him and that heis prosperous. He especially commends the manner in which Agent Allen is handling the affairs of the In- dians at the agency. Alex. Mclntosh, owner of a refreshment parlor at Northome and a member of the board of county commissioners of the new county of Koochiching, came down from his heme this morn- ing and spent today in the city. Lightning Bolt Kills Two, Toledo, ., July 16.—During a se- vere storm which passed over Toledo, blowing down trees and unroofing buildings, lightning killed Nelson Buck in his dooryard in the city and a young boy was also killed on a farm pear the city.
